National Programs Manager, People & Culture
We have an exciting new opportunity for a National Programs Manager, P&C based out of either Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture you will be accountable for the development, implementation and maintenance of national human resources programs and projects, ensuring these initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals and comply with all relevant employment laws. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders and for execution and delivery.
Accountabilities:

Develop, implement and maintain national policies and programs, including maintenance of employee manuals, P&C SharePoint sites and P&C communications

Lead national diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging committee and initiatives including government and legislated reporting requirements (i.e. Federal Contractors Program, provincial pay transparency and accessibility reporting)

Collaborate with P&C teams across Canadian guarding operations to ensure consistency of programs and that national resources are readily available and continually updated for relevance

Support VP with various ad hoc national projects, research on best practices and industry standards e.g, Employee Length of Service Program, Survey Programs etc.

Create RACI and Gantt charts

Draft communications to support project initiation, execution and launch including PowerPoints, frameworks, email etc.

Manage lists of outstanding deliverables, ensure all open items are tracked and addressed.

Collaborate with the regional People & Culture Directors to implement succession planning for leaders and robust development plans

Managing interactions and invoicing for national vendors, i.e. recruitment vendors, background checks. Includes tracking and providing visibility on all P&C related costs/spend, organizing regular vendor updates, gathering and providing feedback on opportunities to improve service
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Five years’ experience in human resources working with practical experience working on large projects or in national organizations

University degree in Human Resources or a related topic, CPHR/CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset

Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of programs and processes

Strong project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to execute and deliver results

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal without direct reporting authority

Knowledge of and ability to navigate SharePoint, ATS and HRIS platforms is an asset

Strong initiative and ability to work independently

A self-starter who can take initiative.

Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.

Passion for HR projects and creating frameworks for meaningful employee experiences.

Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at one time.
