We are looking for a skilled, customer-focused HVAC Technician to join our growing team. If you take pride in your trade, love solving complex mechanical puzzles, and want a stable, long-term career with a supportive team, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Install & Upgrade: Install residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (furnaces, A/C units, heat pumps, tankless water heaters) according to manufacture specifications and local building codes.
- Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems, including boilers, thermostats, and zoning controls.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and seasonal tune-ups to ensure optimal system efficiency and equipment longevity.
- Blueprint Navigation: Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and piping diagrams.
- Customer Service: Represent EconoAir professionally in the field. Explain technical issues to homeowners in plain English and recommend solutions clearly and transparently.
- Safety First: Maintain strict adherence to TSSA regulations, Ontario safety standards, and company safety protocols.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience)
- Licensed Trade: Valid TSSA Gas Technician license (G2 minimum, G1 preferred) and/or Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license (313D or 313A).
- Proven Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and service (residential or light commercial).
- Technical Savvy: Strong mechanical aptitude with deep knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical diagnostics, and hydronic/boiler systems.
- Clean Record: Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean driving record (abstract required).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, punctuality, and a polite, customer-first attitude.
- Tools: Own basic hand tools and trade-specific safety gear.
