General Labourer
As an entry level position, General Labourers will get exposure to a variety of departments. After demonstrating the ability to work safely and with others in a team, General Labourers are often placed in a specific department for further training and development of skills depending on the business need and individual’s goals.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assist in general shop cleanliness and organization
· Assist machine operators, mechanics, and other workers
· Moving and handling material using forklifts and overhead cranes
· Assist with yard receiving and organization
· Empty garbage bins
Other requirements are:
· Ability to work individually and as part of a team
· Ability to carry out duties without constant supervision
· Ability to manually lift 50 lbs
· A commitment to safety and efficiency
· All required training will be provided on-site
Departments that Labourers may assist in:
· Thermal Sprayer
· Hydraulics
· Honer
· Polisher
(Note: previous experience in any of the above would be beneficial but not mandatory)
