Role Description:
The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary and Edmonton, AB, overseeing a group of retail locations and related sales operations. This Area Manager is responsible for leading and coaching store leaders and sales teams to achieve sales targets, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and maintain operational standards. The successful candidate will regularly travel between retail locations across Alberta to coach teams, support operations and drive business performance (A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach Store Managers and retail sales teams.
- Drive sales performance and achievement of KPIs.
- Conduct regular store visits and performance reviews.
- Recruit, train and develop team members.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance with Rogers policies.
- Analyze sales reports and implement action plans.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on regional initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
· Proficiency in regional retail operations management and multi-site leadership, performance monitoring, staff scheduling and resource allocation.
· Strong sales and business development skills, with experience in analyzing sales data and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
· Customer experience and service excellence capabilities, including coaching teams on engagement, problem resolution and building long-term customer relationships.
· People leadership skills, such as team coaching, talent development, performance management and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
· Operational and compliance skills, including adherence to brand standards, partner programs, inventory controls and basic financial oversight (e.g., budgeting, reporting).
· Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and represent the region with internal stakeholders and external partners.
· 3–5 years of multi-unit retail management or Area Manager experience.
· Experience leading multiple retail locations is strongly preferred.
· Post-secondary education in Business, Management or a related field. Equivalent experience in retail or sales leadership will be considered.
· Comfortable in using digital tools, CRM and POS systems, and basic office software to track performance and support decision-making.

Experience in wireless, telecommunications, or consumer electronics retail is considered a strong asset.
