Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Mechanic will play a vital role in minimizing downtime and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before failure occurs
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in troubleshooting and repair
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience using power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is preferred
- Ability to pass any required background checks or drug screenings as applicable
- Provide their own basic set of tools.
- Automotive and heavy duty experience an asset.
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
