Millworker / Cabinet Maker
Job Summary
Pikaso is seeking a highly skilled, organized, and safety-conscious Millworker/Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. The successful candidate will use advanced woodworking machinery and hand tools to fabricate premium-quality products from detailed shop drawings.
Our shop specializes in high-end retail store fixtures, custom cabinetry, and bespoke furniture, and we take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and safely operate industrial woodworking equipment, including table saws, band saws, mitre saws, planers, jointers, and other shop machinery.
- Fabricate and assemble custom cabinetry, retail fixtures, and furniture to precise specifications.
- Apply plastic laminate to a variety of substrates, ensuring seamless, durable, high-quality finishes.
- Work confidently with plywood, MDF, particleboard, plastic laminate, and solid wood.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints accurately and independently.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Work overtime when required to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with laminate and laminated materials.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinet making or architectural millwork.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial woodworking machinery and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, precision workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Occasional overtime as required.
