We are currently looking for a Shipper to join the Shipping team on the evening shift. Training on the day shift for 2 weeks

Evening Shift: Monday – Thursday: between the hours of 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Duties:
Work as a member of a team with department leadership to run an effective, efficient department
Provide motivation and direction to the shipping team and ensure their safety and well-being
Inspect units prior to being received, ensuring that units meet quality, packaging and height restrictions and standards
Scan units prior to storage or loading and insure units are stored and loaded into appropriate bin or van
Physically transport units to and from the allocated bin
Ensure units are stored and loaded into the bin or van in the proper order and ensure on- time completion of the loads
Train new staff
Complete regular dock audits
Build crates for glass and windows
Flex and cross train as required by leadership
Communicate all possible situations regarding production, quality, personnel and safety to leadership
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Develop and maintain basic knowledge of the AS400 system
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written (in English)
Ability to read and interpret unit labels
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrated 3 dimensional problem solving
Able to frequently lift 100 lb with assistance

Assets:
Forklift and Power Jack Certification
Knowledge of table saw, chop saw, radial arm saw and pneumatic hand tools
Leadership experience
