Job Overview
Home Care Worker position available for in-home support to autistic person.
Duties
- Assist person with activities of daily living, including showing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with mobility
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, medication administration, and safety protocols is advantageous
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities enhances suitability for this role
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life
- Must possess: First Aid, CPR and TB check
- Prove current Letter of Conduct, Current letter of Vulnerability check
- Three (3) wirtten references from previous employers are required before starting work
