Financial Services Coordinator

We have a full-time job posting on our Financial Services Team in our Markham office. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a balance of customer service, excellent communication, strong time management and technical skills to join our team. The successful candidate would provide administrative support to currently two Financial Advisors, prepare client proposals, resolve individual insurance policy concerns with clients on a daily basis and offer expert advice on health, dental, and travel insurance products. On the investment side, the Financial Services Coordinator would assist our Financial Advisors by processing mutual and/or segregated fund trades and depositing RRSP contributions.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for providing administrative support to our Financial Advisors
Prepare client proposals, including running illustrations for specific products
Manage daily client requests and correspondence concerning individual policy changes (e.g. beneficiary, address, banking changes)
Work either with the MGA or insurers directly to finalize contracts
Assist clients in selecting and applying for group conversions products (life, health and dental insurance)
Provide expert advice on suitable travel insurance
Liaison with insurers and negotiate high-risk travel insurance for at-risk clients
Advice clients of renewal options for their long-term insurance policies, when special marketing products are released
Process online transactions for RRSP deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and reallocations
Process online fund trades (buy/sell orders for segregated funds), as requested
Collaborate and work well with team members towards the common goal of providing excellent and best-in-class service to our clients and prospects
Skills

Knowledge of the financial industry and insurance providers
Thorough understanding of individual life, disability and critical illness insurance products, group conversion products, travel insurance, as well as mutual and segregated fund investment products
Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines
Great attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical nature with the ability to see the bigger picture
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to establish and foster strong client relationships
Strong conflict resolution skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013
Requirements

Ontario Life License required
Previous experience working with a Financial Advisor an asset
