Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, flexible, and creative Job Coach / Community Inclusion Worker to support an individual with a mild disability in achieving success in both employment and community involvement. This role focuses on fostering independence, building skills, and encouraging meaningful social connections within the Leduc community.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one support in the workplace to help the individual succeed as a valued team member
- Collaborate with the employer to ensure effective communication and support strategies - Encourage independence while offering guidance as needed
- Support community inclusion by identifying and facilitating social opportunities and connections in Leduc
- Assist with developing routines, problem-solving skills, and workplace confidence
- Promote positive relationships in both work and community settings
- To build a fulfilling life, in work, community, building relationships.
- Maintain employment, support the individual to have a meaningful life in the community and outside work hours and support with building friendships.
-Doing activities in the community, to actively meet people in places and areas of intertest where he does activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Reliable, dependable, and flexible in scheduling
- Creative approach to problem-solving and engagement
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset
