Canso Ford is growing! We are looking for a Parts Advisor to join our team.
Summary:
The Parts Advisor is responsible for creating great first impressions and guides the customers through the acquisition of the correct parts and and additional or secondary parts or services required.
The Parts Advisor is a great listener and is a master at executing all the parts counter duties with due diligence and customer service and safety in mind. The Parts Advisor has a keen eye for "the details" and strives to be a product knowledge expert ensuring the dealership provides each customer with a personalized Parts and Service experience.
Responsibilities:
Identify and acquire parts and any related parts for customers and dealership technicians
Ask appropriate questions to ensure the parts requirements are met
Provide repair and maintenance recommendations when appropriate
Handle phone inquiries and return messages promptly
Advise customers on care and value of maintenance according to manufacturer's specifications and warranty maintenance
Communicate with customers in a timely manner
Work positively within the Parts and Service team and all other departments
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and mechanical repairs is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat, engaging attitude
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
Organized and a keen attention to detail with the ability to document customer needs
Inventory control experience in an automotive or similar industry is preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
Computer proficiency and a working understanding of Microsoft Excel
Willing to learn new automotive specific software
Positive attitude and ability to work as a part of a team
Valid driver’s license
