Job Summary

- We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to manage the daily operations and company systems as pertains to the plumbing division of our construction installations
- This position is a mix of in office management work and job site visits to support our plumbing crews in their production schedules
- This position offers a dynamic work environment where technical expertise and attention to detail meets leadership.
Responsibilities
- Organize new plumbing scopes of work through blueprint review, management collaboration, customer communication, and other in office planning
- Prep new jobs with detailed document collection, blueprints, material orders, and customer details in our company CRM (Jobtread)
- Create weekly schedules for our plumbing crews and coordinate with our own HVAC department on their scheduling needs
- Contact customers and builders to arrange scheduling and other project details
- Create and manage our company SOP's as applied to the plumbing department
- Coordinate on job sites with construction teams, our HVAC team, and other subtrades to ensure team work and efficient project execution
- Conduct routine job site visits to support our plumbing crews in their production goals and address any changes or issues with the planned scopes of work
- Review project costs regularly with management and assist with change order estimating by providing accurate on site details
- Manage inventory of tools or equipment required for projects
- Help our admin team onboard any new plumbing hires by reviewing basic company SOP's at their start date
- Site work and the training of lesser experienced plumbing employees is not expected for this role but they would be valuable skillsets when occasionally needed.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and HVAC integration
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, BC plumbing code, and basic math calculations
- Experience in construction environments with regards to building processes, construction scheduling, and team leadership
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to upholding high standards of quality
- Flexibility to navigate project challenges, scheduling changes, and team member needs
- Basic computer and office skills to type emails, conduct video calls, mark up drawings, and use our company CRM efficiently.
- Background experience in business, sales, or customer service is valuable but not required
