We are looking for motivated customer-oriented individuals to join our growing team of cannabis retail sales staff - Budtenders. You will report to the Store Manager and Store owner. As Budtender, you will provide a high-quality customer experience. You understand what it means to be a brand ambassador for Weedjar, inside and outside of our stores.
Job Description – Cannabis Budtender
Responsibilities:
- Friendly, personable and customer-oriented
- Ability to provide exceptional service in all aspects of the sales floor: greeting customers, selling, product knowledge, operate cash, wrap/bag merchandise and restock
- Possesses an understanding and appreciation of marijuana products and culture.
- Is knowledgeable about trends and supports brand messaging
- Supports new hires through mentorship
- Works well with Team members
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Provides insight to Weedjar Managers about customer experience and preferences
- Participates in ongoing staff education/training and through sharing of product knowledge
- Has a flexible schedule
- Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays
- Able to pick up shifts when asked, at any location as needed
- Able to travel to all Weedjar locations as needed
Qualifications:
- You must be a Qualified Cannabis Worker in the province of Ontario to apply and be able to provide a current copy of the Ontario's CannSell certification including the Updated Program Requirements including the Mandatory Module on Edibles, Extracts, and Topicals at the time of application
- You must be able to provide a clean criminal background check prior to employment.
- Preferably minimum 2 years’ experience in a Retail/Customer Service environment
- Experience in the Cannabis industry will be considered an asset
- First Aid/CPR, WHMIS and Worker’s Health and Safety Awareness training will be considered an asset
- Additional on the Job Training, such standard operating procedures, store policies, brand awareness and knowledge - training will be provided
- Must be able to lift boxes 5 - 30 lbs
- Must be flexible with hours of work
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $17.60 - $18.00 per hour
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
