Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry who want to gain hands-on experience in a busy kitchen setting. The Kitchen Hand will support daily operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen functions. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food handling, safety, and meal preparation within a professional culinary environment.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Handle food safely and follow proper hygiene protocols to maintain cleanliness standards
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assisting with basic cooking tasks
- Serve food to customers or staff in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste
- Organize and store supplies, ingredients, and utensils efficiently
- Follow all food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards
- Support the overall operation of the kitchen during busy service times
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards is preferred
- Familiarity with serving, food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation is advantageous
- Experience working in the food industry or a similar fast-paced environment will be beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and hygiene practices
