St. Clair College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success.
The regular work week is M-F 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, schedule may be changed to include occasional Saturdays but will vary based on department needs and sales-related events.
The responsibilities of the Business and Sales Development Manager include, but are not limited to:
· Meet with clients to secure catering bookings related to Weddings, Conferences and Social Events both on and off Premise.
· Conducting venue tours and food tastings to help clients visualize their events.
· Prospecting: Actively soliciting new catering business through cold calling, networking, and market research.
· Negotiating contract terms, conditions, and food and beverage minimums with clients.
· Managing sales performance metrics and auditing client accounts to meet profitability guidelines.
· Overseeing deposits, final invoicing, and processing payments
· Data entry into the event booking software.
· Creating and distributing detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
· Securing payment and guest signatures.
· Works with department administrative staff, support staff, Scheduling Office.
The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications:
· A diploma in Hospitality Management or related discipline
· Two years of sales experience in the hospitality industry
· A strong commitment to client satisfaction
· Good computer skills.
