We are a busy and growing multidisciplinary clinic. Our practitioners are made up of Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Kinesiologists, and Chiropractors. We are dedicated to providing client-centered care to the Burnaby community. The clinic offers detailed attention to client care, from customer service to assessment, treatment, and follow-up. Skills include:
- Tech-Savvy – Able to use an EMR system and computer on a daily basis as we are a paperless clinic
- Familiarity with Google, Excel and Microsoft is an asset
- Proficient typing speed
- Knowledge of EMR (JaneApp online booking & billing system) preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Previous experience with ICBC, WSBC, Third Party Insurance and Teleplan/MSP billing
- Detailed Data Entry for funding purposes
- Detailed billing review
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Self motivated and able to prioritize tasks accordingly
- Great multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
- Efficient problem-solving skills
- Professional telephone & in-person mannerisms

Job Demands:
- Upholding clinic policy and procedures
- Customer service – checking clients in, processing payments and answering questions clients may have.
- Opening and closing shift duties – handling of cashbox, daily summary.
- Manage laundry
- Assisting practitioners
- Cleaning rooms after each client and at the end of the day.
- Billing – ICBC, WSBC, BlueCross, Canada Life (Great West Life), SunLife, etc.
- Checking and responding to email, faxes, and mail in a timely manner
- Scanning client records into the client’s chart.
- Stocking rooms – making sure all rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies.
- Sanitization – treatment rooms, front desk area and waiting room area.
Requirements:
- Medical Office Assistant diploma from an accredited institution, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum (2) years of experience as a Medical Office Assistant, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in a private clinic setting.
- Experience with Third party insurance billings.
- Experience with Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, etc.)
- *Please note: Candidates must be available Monday through Friday each week.
- Must be available to work at both locations - Brentwood and Station Square.
