The position will provide support to learners throughout the continuum of engagement from application and assessment through to employment, retention and alumni services. This support will increase their readiness for entering and completing training and support long-term employment success.
Work with a variety of teams to review and update documents, processes and assessments for determining readiness needs
Participate in the development of a case management service model, including assessments and tools for serving a portfolio of WBF clients at a variety of engagement touch points
Serve regional client base with knowledge of local demographics and resource.
Provide support and problem-solving assistance to students who are facing life management issues or other barriers that may affect their success in entering/completing training and securing/retaining employment.
Create individualized action plans for students and monitor their progress with ongoing coaching and communication and mentoring support upon completion of the program to employment retention.
Maintain student follow-ups and records in accordance with Customer Relationship Management system requirements.
Assess the need and level of support required by students; facilitate and provide leadership for the development and implementation of action plans to enhance student success through recruitment.
Participate in various career fairs/conferences that support the objectives of WBF programming.
Develop a strong network and community connections as resources for women.
Educate and encourage women regarding opportunities and challenges in non-traditional trades/occupations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
College Diploma or University Degree in human services field/ career development/ psychology/ sociology preferred, and/or minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience in the areas of human services, social work, and/or community outreach/support.
Front line experience working closely with urban and rural communities and understanding of community structures and barriers to employment and training that women are facing.
Experience in providing coaching and support for clients in areas of life management and career exploration.
Certification in nonviolent crisis intervention training and ASIST training preferred or plans to obtain this training.
