Contractor Sales Representative
The Contractor Sales Representative will play a critical role in driving sales growth by establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors in the building industry. This position requires a proactive and results-driven individual who can effectively communicate our product offerings, understand the unique needs of contractors, and provide exceptional customer service.
The Contractor Sales Representative’s responsibilities consist of the following:
· Customer Relationship Building:
- Identify and target potential contractor clients within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new contractors to understand their business needs.
· Product Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their benefits and features to contractors.
- Provide technical information and support to contractors when needed.
· Sales Generation:
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, email marketing, and networking events.
- Present product offerings to contractors, highlighting their relevance and value.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotes.
- Close sales deals and achieve or exceed sales targets.
· Customer Service:
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
· Market Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Provide feedback to the sales team and management regarding market insights.
· Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and relevant data.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
· Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team, customer support, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following:
· Proven track record in sales, preferably in a B2B or contractor-focused environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
· Technical knowledge or aptitude for understanding the products and services offered.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Results-oriented and target-driven.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
· Red Seal Carpenter Certification considered as asset but not mandatory.
