About the role:
The Manager is responsible for the management of the Co-op’s finances and administration, ensuring the shared facilities and equipment are regularly inspected and maintained, and that the work of the Co-op’s Board of Directors (the Board) is supported. The Manager will work in-person on-site in a collaborative team approach with the Board members, Member Clinics, and bookkeeper to ensure the Co-op is operating soundly. This position is a key support to the clinics.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Completing day-to-day finance tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow.
· Maintaining systems for tracking and allocating all shared costs among the Member Clinics.
· Ensuring all financial reports and records are prepared, completed and maintained in a timely manner.
· Acting as the main point of contact with the bookkeeper, the landlord, and security personnel.
· Ensuring compliance with lease obligations, service contracts, and policies and procedures.
· Ensuring maintenance of common areas and equipment of the Co-op.
· Facilitating the technology and room setup and takedown for common meeting spaces.
· Working with and supporting the Board and committees, including preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes.
We seek a self-starter to manage the shared facilities of ten clinics, with the following skills and experience:
· Minimum two years experience working in an office, financial or administrative environment.
· Demonstrated financial and administrative experience.
· Post-secondary education in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or equivalent.
· Technical proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word.
· Great relationship-building, collaboration and communication skills.
· Attention to detail, time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software required.
This is an in-person on-site position with a salary range of $55,000 to $62,500, and generous benefits, including: group health, dental and insurance benefits; four weeks paid vacation; and 5.5% employer-paid RRSP contributions in addition to salary.
