ICE Islamia Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Homeroom Teacher for Grades 1–4. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge in English and Science, excellent classroom management skills, and a passion for helping students achieve academic success while developing strong character and Islamic values.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Ontario curriculum, with a strong focus on English and Science.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Utilize educational technology and Microsoft Office tools for lesson planning and instruction.
- Foster positive behavior, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student success.
- Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- OCT certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge and teaching experience in English and Science at the elementary level (Preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.
- Commitment to fostering a faith-based, student-focused learning environment.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
