Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, familiarity with freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential. The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in ensuring our clients receive their orders efficiently and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload
- Verify delivery orders for accuracy and completeness before departure
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or delays
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or delivery services
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for verifying deliveries and documentation
