Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in food preparation and kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
