The Role

We are currently searching for a Manager, Demand Planning, reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning. This vacancy is a full-time, permanent opportunity. The Manager, Demand Planning is a strategic planning leader accountable for setting the vision, governance, and discipline behind the consensus demand plan across assigned categories, customers, and channels for The Beer Store and Brewers Distributor Limited. This role owns the architecture, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the demand planning and S&OP process, ensuring it is aligned with and signed off by key internal stakeholders, and that this demand view drives service, inventory, and operational outcomes across the business. Operating as a cross-functional leader, the Manager, Demand Planning bridges suppliers, Customer Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Logistics, and Operations, translating demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities into a credible, insight-driven rolling forecast.

Location

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.

What You'll Be Doing

Set the strategic vision for and govern the consensus demand plan across assigned categories, vendors, customers, and channels, including plan alignment and sign-off.
Own the architecture and continuous evolution of the demand planning and S&OP process, ensuring clear governance, disciplined cadence, and one aligned demand view across the business.
Build, govern, and continuously strengthen an 18–24 month rolling forecast that is insight-led, unbiased, and grounded in clear assumptions and scenario intelligence.
Apply statistical methods, historical trend analysis, and business intelligence to advance forecast quality, responsiveness, and predictability while monitoring accuracy, bias, variance, and promotional performance.
Engage Level 1 and Level 2 suppliers regularly to integrate supply commitments, innovation pipelines, and brewer-side intelligence into the consensus demand plan.
Use exception-based monitoring, performance reviews, and root cause analysis to improve inventory productivity, reduce aging risk, strengthen forecast-to-execution alignment, and support end-of-life portfolio and promotional planning governance.
Chair monthly demand review and scenario planning forums, surfacing and resolving risks, opportunities, assumptions, and trade-offs, while partnering with Fulfillment and Customer Supply Chain to align demand and promo plans with inventory availability, replenishment requirements, customer commitments, and operational realities.
Lead structured engagement with Level 1 and Level 2 suppliers to align demand signals, validate supply assumptions, and embed brewer future plans in the consensus forecast, while leading demand planning for new product introductions, seasonal launches, transitions, item exits, SKU rationalization, and portfolio simplification.
Lead forecasting, planning, and process improvement initiatives by enhancing planning tools, governance frameworks, and lean-based methodologies to improve agility, forecast accuracy, inventory productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
Drive standardization and simplification of planning processes, including SKU rationalization, portfolio simplification, allocation decision support, and network flow planning to reduce complexity and strengthen inventory and service outcomes.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

APICS / CPIM / CSCP / SCMP or equivalent supply chain designation preferred
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field
Lean or continuous improvement training is considered an asset
Post-graduate degree in Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline preferred

Experience

8+ years of progressive supply chain leadership, with a demonstrated track record of building and elevating demand planning and integrated planning capabilities within retail, beverage, CPG, or distribution environments
Proven experience leading end‑to‑end demand planning, S&OP, Monthly Business Planning, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes within complex, cross‑functional supply chain environments
Strong hands‑on experience applying statistical forecasting methodologies, with the ability to select and deploy appropriate techniques to improve forecast accuracy, reduce bias, and strengthen planning confidence
Demonstrated experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) planning within a national or multi‑business unit environment, ensuring forecast governance, launch readiness, and cross‑functional alignment

Skills

Deep expertise in demand planning, statistical forecasting, demand sensing, and S&OP/IBP best practices, with the ability to apply appropriate models across demand patterns and product life cycles.
Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting tools such as JDA, SAP IBP, or equivalet platforms, with demonstrated ability to build, manage, and govern statistical forecast models that improve accuracy and reduce bias across the portfolio
Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning and how forecast strategy influences inventory health, replenishment readiness, service performance, and cost
Demonstrated leadership presence with a strong ownership mindset and the ability to shape planning culture and influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority
Proven ability to establish governance frameworks, planning discipline, and industry best practices across demand planning routines and cross-functional planning forums
Strong business acumen with the ability to link operational metrics to financial performance
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments within the business

Compensation

Salary range? Yup, we’ve got one: $83,000–$103,700 CAD per year. But here’s the real deal - if you’re the perfect brew of experience, skills, and personality, we’re open to exploring beyond the range. Tell us what you’re working with, and let’s pour over it together
