We are currently accepting resumes for a registered nurse (not RPN) to join our team on a part-time or casual basis for the purpose of administering procedural deep IV sedation
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare patients for surgery under anesthesia (IV sedation)
- Skilled in obtaining IV access
- Administer medications for the purpose of sedation
- Monitor patients during surgery and in recovery
- Assist in airway maintenance during surgery
Requirements:
- Current registration with RNAO
- Fluent in English
- Able to work autonomously
- Current BLS, ACLS certifications
- Good patient interaction
- Excellent teamwork skills
- COVID vaccine
Assets:
- previous experience with IV sedation
Compensation:
- $45-55 per hour, depending on previous experience with administration of IV sedation in a private clinic setting
