Terra Nova Mazda is seeking energetic full-time 1st Year Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our team of technicians.

Responsibilities:
- Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, tire installs, lubrications and vehicle inspections.
- New Vehicle pre-delivery Inspections.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems as required
- Inspecting vehicles to determine if additional safety or maintenance work is required or recommended.
- Perform road tests using safe driving standards.
- Provide clear and accurate documentation of all repairs.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and information
- Notify the Service Consultant and/or Service Management if additional work is required, or if the repairs cannot be done by the expected deadline.
- Maintain and develop skill levels in repair and service of vehicles
- Keeping up-to date with manufacturer TSB and recalls
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications you bring:
- Well organized, possess a strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Strong grasp of automotive electrical and engine performance diagnostics
- Pride in workmanship
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed
- Reliable and punctual, demonstrate outstanding attendance
- Must have own tools
Requirements:
- Full body mobility with the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time with hands above the head.
- Certificate of graduation or enrollment in an Apprenticeship Program at a recognized technical training institute.
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or post-secondary education.
- Must be a registered 1st Year Apprentice
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a Driver's Abstract
- Record of Conduct
