Interior Decorator / Design Support Specialist

Are you a talented decorator who thrives working independently, has a great eye for design, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team? Key Design Inc. is looking for an experienced Interior Decorator to support our growing portfolio of residential and commercial projects.
This position is ideal for someone who can confidently manage decorating projects from concept to installation while also providing support on larger design projects when additional help is needed.
About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated, organized, and creative individual who can work independently with clients, make informed design decisions, and represent Key Design Inc. professionally in the field.
You will have the opportunity to lead smaller decorating projects while assisting our design team with selections, sourcing, styling, installations, and overflow project work.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients independently and assess project needs
- Develop decorating concepts, mood boards, and finish selections
- Source furniture, lighting, artwork, accessories, and décor
- Coordinate orders, deliveries, and installations
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and project walkthroughs
- Measure, specify, and coordinate custom window treatments including drapery, blinds, shades, and hardware selections
- Style homes and commercial spaces for final reveal and photography
- Assist senior designers with larger residential and commercial projects
- Support project management and procurement tasks as needed
- Maintain strong communication with clients, suppliers, and trades
- Represent Key Design Inc. professionally and confidently
Qualifications
- Experience in interior decorating, interior design, home staging, or a related field
- Experience with custom window treatments, drapery, blinds, and soft furnishings is considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of furnishings, finishes, textiles, and styling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects
- Experience with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar is considered an asset

Compensation
$25–$40+ per hour (based on experience, qualifications, and level of independence).
We recognize that every candidate brings a unique combination of experience, skills, industry knowledge, and existing client relationships. As such, compensation is negotiable for the right candidate and may be structured in a way that best reflects your experience, availability, and role within the company. We are open to discussing hourly, contract, or project-based arrangements depending on the candidate and position.
