Seasonal Labourer – General Labour & Property Maintenance
We are a local property development and real estate company looking to hire a seasonal labourer to support our team across a variety of hands-on tasks. This is a good fit for someone who works hard, shows up reliably, and appreciates a dynamic workplace.
What the work looks like
The role will vary day to day but will primarily involve cleanup and organization work at one of our commercial properties, along with supporting ongoing residential construction and property maintenance projects. Specific tasks will include general site cleanup and debris removal, material handling and organization, pickup and delivery runs, minor maintenance work, assisting our carpenter on active job sites, post-construction cleaning in residential homes, and basic power tool use under supervision.
Work locations vary across the northeast Avalon including Torbay, Flatrock, St. John's, and Mount Pearl. A valid licence and reliable transportation to report to varying job sites is required. Travel between sites during the workday is compensated.
What we're looking for
No formal experience is required, though any background in construction, labour, or trades is an asset. More important than experience is reliability, a strong work ethic, a willingness to take direction and stay busy, and a genuine attitude toward working safely. You should be comfortable working physically for extended periods, lifting materials up to 50 lbs, and working in varying conditions both indoors and outdoors.
A valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record is required. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Must be able to supply your own steel-toed boots. Hard hat and hi-vis vest will be provided. Safety orientation and any required tool training will be provided on site.
Hours & Compensation
This is a seasonal position offering a minimum of 20 hours per week, with additional hours available based on project needs and workload. Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Position has potential to extend beyond the summer based on performance.
