The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is looking for our next great leader to take on the role of Assistant Front Office Manager. Reporting directly to the Director of Front Office, you are an incredibly well-organized, detail-oriented, and guest-focused individual who thrives playing a critical role in the effective management of the hotel’s Front Office operations. The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk, Bell desk and Switchboard, also acting as the hotel’s Manager on Duty and supports as relief Night Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead by example in providing warm and engaging service to all our guests.
· Support the Front Office team in all aspects of the daily operation.
· Implement company policies & procedures, health & safety legislation, and departmental SOPs.
· Facilitate timely and practical resolution in all matters of guest service complaints.
· Facilitating daily shift briefings and regular operational meetings.
· Assist is daily hotel administration (i.e. payroll, inventory, departmental purchasing, etc.)
· Act as the hotel Manager on Duty in the absence of other key leaders.
· Take a leading role in all emergencies including Fire Procedures and Fire Panel operation.
· Participate in performance management: coaching, training, reviews and discipline.
· Ensuring cash handling and auditing procedures are in place and actively followed.
· Developing close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments.
· Attending hotel training programs as needed.
· This position will require night coverage in the absence of the Night Manager.
· Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1-year Front Office leadership experience in an upscale hotel environment.
· Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional service and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational, analytical skills, and decision-making skills.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
· Excellent Communication skills, both verbally and written.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team.
· Technologically savvy, familiar with Microsoft Office, Opera Cloud, HotSOS and Revinate.
· Requires a flexible schedule for a 24/7 hotel environment, including weekends and holidays.
· Bachelor's Degree in Hotel / Hospitality Management is an asset.
