Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support healthcare and clinical research projects. This role requires strong statistical analysis skills and the ability to communicate findings clearly through reports and academic-style writing. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and researchers to analyze data and contribute to evidence-based insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze healthcare data using statistical methods (e.g., regression, survival analysis, hypothesis testing)
- Clean, manage, and validate clinical or public health datasets
- Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and summaries for publication or internal use
- Conduct literature reviews on medical and health-related topics
- Assist in study design, data collection, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with research and patient data standards (e.g., privacy regulations)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Sciences, or related field
- Experience with statistical software
- Strong academic or technical writing skills (healthcare-related preferred)
- Understanding of basic healthcare research methods and terminology
Preferred:
- Prior experience in clinical research or hospital settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) data
- Knowledge of research ethics and patient confidentiality standards (e.g., REB/IRB)
