Job summary
Health Futures is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist with strong communication skills for a contract position. The successful candidate will support accurate data entry, maintain data integrity, and communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure high-quality data management in a healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately input, update, and maintain data in internal databases and systems.
- Validate and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports as required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data, including personal health information, in compliance with PHIPA.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams (clinical, admin, finance) to gather or clarify information.
- Respond to data-related inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Support data audits and quality assurance initiatives.
- Maintain organized electronic records for efficient retrieval.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
`Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is an asset.
`Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with databases, CRM systems, or EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM with high accuracy.
