CertainTeed has an exciting career opportunity for a Maintenance Planner based in Calgary, Alberta, to join our Maintenance team. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities and ensuring the availability of parts, resources, and schedules required to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance. This role serves as a critical link between maintenance and production teams, ensuring maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and executed efficiently.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Define the full scope of maintenance work required for corrective, preventive, predictive, and reliability improvement activities.
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures that support safe, high-quality, defect-free work execution.
- Translate the site's asset management and maintenance strategy into practical maintenance activities.
- Manage and coordinate site service contracts, schedules, and maintenance programs.
- Integrate maintenance activities into production schedules to minimize disruptions and maximize equipment availability.
- Monitor, track, and report key performance indicators related to equipment reliability, maintenance performance, planning effectiveness, and scheduling efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and external service providers to ensure successful execution of maintenance plans.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- Post-secondary education, preferably a diploma in Engineering Technology, or a technical trades background.
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a planning role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); experience with MP2 and SAP is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
