Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD technology, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health standards
- Assist with laboratory duties related to dental prosthetics or appliances when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Proficiency in dental software such as Epic and Dentrix; familiarity with CAD is a plus
- Experience working in orthodontics or pediatrics is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatrics are advantageous
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $19.53-$30.23 per hour
