Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems across various commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools, and experience reading schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, gas lines, and related fixtures in accordance with industry standards and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to assemble or repair piping systems as needed
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise work
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy equipment or piping components safely
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to plumbing, gas fitting, HVAC, or manufacturing equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing and gas systems to prevent future failures
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, gas fitting, or related mechanical fields such as manufacturing or construction
- Proficiency with MIG welding, TIG welding, and general welding techniques
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance practices
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, calipers, and rigging equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for installation work
- Knowledge of schematics related to plumbing, gas systems, or manufacturing processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards
- Relevant certifications or licenses in plumbing or gas fitting are preferred but not required
