Consequently, we are looking for a full-time Engineering Tech who would like to join our team. Usual office hours required with overtime and flexibility needed on occasion to ensure adequate front-end coverage into afternoon shift hours. This position will reside in Cambridge, Ontario.
Duties and Responsibilities
· To demonstrate leadership, apply initiative, effectively communicate, and act professionally within a team-based environment.
· To perform aspects of die set, plate engineering work and be able to lead small or medium sized projects in an effective manner consistent with customer expectations.
· Verifying customer purchase orders and customer requirements
· Preparing shop prints using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
· Preparing material take-offs, work instructions and work orders using Profit Key
· Procure raw material from various vendors
· Coordinate the shipping of raw material and finished projects with purchasing, vendors and customers
· Maintain standard procedures for all engineered work
· Liaising with customers, vendors, sales, production and quality teams
· Working alternate hours and overtime when necessary
· Able to create GANT charts
· Conduct meetings with customers on project updates and kickoffs
· Assist shop floor and supervisors on project related questions and issues.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Team Leader

Qualifications
· Engineering Technologist certificate or equivalent
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with steel and processes
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
· Working knowledge of Profit Key software considered an asset
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – email, word, excel, teams, and Microsoft planner
· Knowledge of ISO, N 299.3
· Technical knowledge of welding, the steel manufacturing process
· Blueprint reading skills required
· Knowledge of Anchor Danly Manufacturing processes considered an asset
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to multitask efficiently and work in fast paced / team environment
