Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Driver/Handyman/woman to join our team. This role involves operating vehicles for transportation needs of baked goods to events, performing everyday maintenance , help with setup/tear down and cleaning. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with heavy lifting and moving tasks efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to various operational functions while ensuring safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including cargo vans.
- Assist with moving heavy items, load van / unload van
- Perform general handyman tasks such as repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting around the property or bakery
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage spaces
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and service requests
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients or vendors
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Valid standard driver’s license is required
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and moving items safely
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good driving record with a focus on safety and responsibility
- Reliable transportation to commute to bakery
