Job Title: Black Belt

Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Lean Sigma Black Belt to be dedicated 100% of the time to lead and support operational improvement projects throughout the organization. The successful candidate has a strong project management background and will be responsible for using Lean Sigma tools and methodologies to positively impact Cost, Quality, Delivery Performance, Cash and Customer Satisfaction. You will work closely with leadership at all levels to ensure continuous improvement efforts are driven throughout the organization through sharing of best practices and effectively managing changes.
Skills and Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business/Operations or related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in continuous improvement / transformational projects in an industrial domain.
2. Black Belt (or Green Belt) Certified in an industrial environment with thorough knowledge of generic key business and manufacturing processes.
3. Expertise in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies and toolsets together with the ability to coach operational teams and individuals. Proven track record in operational roles in aerospace or industrial companies (e.g. Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality).
4. Project Management demonstrated experience. Training certificate in Project Management is an asset.
5. Excellent training and facilitating skills with experience in coaching/mentoring/training and influencing decision-making processes.
6. Demonstrated problem solving experience.
7. Experience working with teams in all levels including senior management.
8. Occasional travel may be applicable.
9. Team player.
10. Leadership and solid communication skills.
11. Problem-solving mindset.
12. Detailed oriented, analytical and critical thinker.
13. Fast learner, creative.
14. Keen to learn and incorporate new technologies / trends.
15. Proficient in the common software packages including Microsoft Office suite -Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Minitab, MS Project and PowerBI (desired).
16. French would be an asset.
