The Facilities department is currently seeking a regular full-time Electrician to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and testing of electrical systems, equipment and appliances throughout the Hospital and grounds
- Strict adherence to all applicable codes, standards and regulations
- Performs troubleshooting, repairs and installations to control circuits and wiring
- Advanced user of building automation system (BAS)
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
- Completes work orders in a timely manner with accurate documentation of work performed in a computerized maintenance system
- Carries out duties as a member of the hospital fire team
- Provides verbal or written reports as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Certificate of Qualification (Ontario License) Electrician.
- Additional Certificate of Qualification in a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a licensed Electrician in a Facilities maintenance role.
- Advanced knowledge of complex building systems and control circuits and wiring.
- Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS).
- Additional mechanical and electronic experience would be an asset.
- Good record keeping, computer and communication skills.
- Hospital experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of all applicable codes, standards and guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
