CLINIC DOOR SCREENER
We are looking to hire 1-2 individuals to control entry into our clinics by screening every patient and visitor upon arrival. Clinic hours of entry are currently 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday (doors are closed from 12-1pm daily). Door screeners will be required for the duration of the pandemic. The position is contract, and scheduled shifts may fluctuate depending on clinic needs and applicant’s availability.
Located in Cambridge, Hespeler Medical Clinic and HealthLink Family Practice are a part of the Two Rivers Family Health Team. This is a busy practice, consisting of twenty-one family physicians and two Obstetrician/Gynecologists between the two clinics.

The Door Screener is responsible for providing a professional and positive impact when dealing with patients and actively controlling the flow of patients and visitors upon arrival to the clinics.
-wearing full PPE for the duration of your scheduled shift
-controlling entry/exit from the main clinic doors
-screening each patient/visitor upon entry (asking screening questions, taking temperature, providing mask to patient if needed, and asking to perform hand hygiene, etc.)
-checking the patient into our EMR upon arrival, and directing the patient to appropriate chair in waiting room
-documenting all other visitors that are not patients
-relaying messages from patients and communicating with office staff and Physicians as needed
-collecting/distributing patient forms at clinic entrance
-routine, repeated cleaning of patient entrance and waiting area(s) and patient washrooms
-other duties as required
-high school diploma
-successful completion (or current enrolment) of a medical program such as Medical Office Assistant would be an asset
-positive “customer service” attitude, pleasant and professional demeanor, demonstrated communication skills
-excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to achieve desired results
-exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills
-ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations in a calm manner
-comfortable working in a busy clinical setting
