Whissell is looking for experienced Side Hoe Operators to join our team and contribute to some of Alberta’s leading civil construction and underground utility projects.
If you take pride in operating equipment safely and efficiently, have experience working around underground utilities, and are looking for an opportunity to grow with an industry leader, we want to hear from you! The Side Hoe Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of side boom/side hoe equipment on civil construction sites. Working closely with the Superintendent and Foreman, you will support site-level goals and contribute to the successful completion of underground utility, earthworks, excavation, and related construction activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of running a side Hoe
- Underground Utility and Earthworks constructions experience is considered an asset
- High attention to detail required
- Pay to be determined by skill and experience
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies, OH & S Legislation and WCB reporting procedures.
- Understand and maintain quality and production standards and work to achieve established production goals.
- Must have your own transportation
- Must have own steel-toes safety boots
- Work Site Environment: Outdoors, confined spaces
- Seasonal, full-time and weekends
