Job Title: Assistant Clinic Supervisor - Ophthalmology Clinic
Employment Type: Full-Time | 40 hours per week
Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Work Location: In-office at Brampton, ON clinic location, with travel to other clinics as required.
Compensation: Range is $50,000 - $55,000 CAD per year and commensurate with experience. Annual Bonus based on performance.

Primary Responsibilities
Leadership and Operations
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, resolving maintenance issues and managing people-related matters.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of staff, including Team Leads.
- Liaise with corporate scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels and efficient operations.
- Monitor site efficiency and QA metrics; provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Organize and lead site meetings and team meetings, ensuring minutes are documented and shared.
- Coordinate site-specific social events and initiatives.
- Assist the Site Manager in cash collections and bank submissions.
- Build trust and maintain positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and doctors.
- Fulfill doctor requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Travel to other UVG locations or meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Inventory Management
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure adequate inventory of supplies.
- Manage daily incoming and outgoing mail and shipments.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Oversee on-site QA auditing (e.g., patient consent forms).
- Support site inspections and compliance requirements for JHSC, CPSO, and Research Sponsors.
- Partner with HR to implement HR programs and communications at the site level, including employee onboarding, training, and documentation compliance.
- Ensure daily hygiene and infection control practices are maintained consistently.
Working Conditions
- Prolonged computer use and screen time.
- Travel within the GTA as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in people management, project management, or supervision, ideally in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Related education or training is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, collaborate effectively, and achieve team objectives.
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, eye care and laser cosmetic services, products, and procedures.
- Exceptional English communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in a second language is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Collaborative and team-oriented work style with a positive and supportive attitude.
