Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Labourer to support daily agricultural operations on our farm. The ideal candidate will assist with planting, harvesting and general farm maintenance. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the success of our farming activities. The Farm Labourer will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of various farm tasks and maintaining the health of our crops and land.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, spraying, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and techniques
- Operate and conduct routine maintenance of farm equipment and tools
- Support with heavy lifting of supplies, produce, or equipment as needed
- Feed and tend to Cattle
- Help with Calving
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and best practices during all farm activities
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with farm machinery is required 1-2 years experience
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willing to work long hours in peak periods
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills
