Magna Mining Inc. is a Sudbury-focused, base metal exploration and development company.
Magna Mining’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.
We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.
The Superintendent, Projects, is responsible for the sustainable and reliable delivery of Magna Mining’s projects.

Plans and coordinates activities for staff and teams engaged in executing projects, consisting of surface and underground scopes.

Reviews data, such as schedules, plans, survey reports, and geotechnical specifications, and consults with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and supervisory personnel to plan and direct the project.

Adheres to mining laws and safety regulations, and issues directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.

Ensures that all site reporting is accurate, timely and effective, including safety, production, and financial reporting.

Responsible for the oversight of numerous contracting services ensuing their efficiency and effectiveness in planning and executing the scope agreed upon.

Liaise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectations are realistic and projected targets are achieved safely and to specifications.

Coordinates workforce planning, roster preparation, and assists with employment / deployment of workforce.
Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or equivalent education and experience is an asset.

Certified Project Manager with the PMI or PMP is an asset
Work Experience: Nature & Length
-
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Underground Hard Rock Mining with minimum of 4 years in foreman or superintendent role executing high productivity underground Mining Contracts.

Operational experience in production and development within the mining industry.

Working knowledge of underground mining operations including safety, production, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.
