Project Planner
Montréal, QC

With a view to expanding developing and the incumbent’s previously acquired project management expertise, the selected candidate’s main responsibility will be to provide planning support for project managers within the context of assigned projects.

The profile we are seeking is that of a Senior Planner with more than ten years of relevant experience in the industrial, petroleum, public transit or institutional sector.


Working with various stakeholders, including clients, engineers and manufacturers, develop the work breakdown structure for projects;
Prepare the master schedule and detailed schedules, and establish reference planning;
Identify and analyze the critical path. Propose measures for optimizing the schedule to the client;
Actively participate in developing the risk management strategy related to the schedule;
Update detailed and master schedules, integrate changes and analyze the related impacts;
Validate the key scheduling milestones and their compliance with the reference planning and project objectives.
Monitor the progress of activities, analyze performance and recommend actions to project managers;
Establish and analyze trends, and evaluate and propose solutions aimed at minimizing the impact of discrepancies;
Validate supplier, sub-contractor and contractor schedules based on contractual requirements and project objectives;
Produce progress reports, dashboards and management indicators;
Ensure that schedules and issues are communicated to all project stakeholders.


Bachelor degree in Engineering or a relevant field
Project management training, PMP or PMI-SP certification is an asset
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Mastery of MS-Project
Familiarity with Primavera P6 is an asset
Understanding of project management, risk management and construction management
Experience working on industrial or transportation projects is an asset
Excellent communication skills.
