Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver with a G license to join our team. This role involves transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with warehouse operations, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are prioritized. Able to drive a 5 ton straight frame truck.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles with a G license to transport goods between locations.
- Assist with moving and loading items using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload cargo, including heavy items, utilizing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes.
- Uphold high standards of customer service by representing the company professionally during interactions.
Skills
- Valid G license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and customers.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Experience in moving goods within warehouse environments or similar settings is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
