Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for Sustsinsbility, and a strong ability to engage with diverse customers. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, Sorting, Pricing and Merchandising products, and driving sales through effective merchandising strategies. Experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued. As a Sales Associate, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming shopping environment and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping and Selling needs
- Sort inventory, Tag and hang it
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product selections, especially in technology-related items
- Handle cashiering duties including POS transactions, cash handling, and processing payments accurately
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and appealing
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information and directing calls as needed
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment
- Ensure the store environment remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times
- Demonstrate excellent time management to balance multiple customer interactions efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly
- Bilingual abilities (English plus another language) are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills required
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Organizational skills to manage product displays and stock levels effectively
- Ability to perform basic cashiering duties including cash handling and phone etiquette
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
