ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensure the organized and efficient operation of all yards in a relief capacity to regular Plant Management. To support Quality Control through onsite support and / or testing in the yard.
WHAT THEY’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Safety Leadership: Administer and promote site safety policies to ensure full compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Operational Support: Provide relief batching of ready-mix concrete across all plant locations as required.
- Quality Control: Conduct concrete testing in the yard and on-site to ensure product integrity.
- Team Supervision: Direct and supervise yard employees in all aspects of daily yard operations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order raw materials and operational supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Precision Batching: Guarantee the accurate batching of concrete in alignment with production standards.
- Quality Assurance: Execute all QA procedures strictly according to the Quality Assurance Manual.
- Reporting & Compliance: Complete material logs, inventory reports, and C.O.D. procedures within established deadlines.
- Facility Inspections: Perform daily and monthly plant inspections to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Maintenance Coordination: Monitor plant performance and proactively notify the Maintenance Department of breakdowns or potential technical issues.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school (college/university preferred)
Additional Education Preferred:
Field of Study Preferred: (List all possible fields of study that would qualify a candidate for the position, i.e. business, civil engineering, etc.)
Required Work Experience: minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry is preferred.
Required Training/Certifications:
Required Technical Skills: Command Batch knowledge or similar
Travel Requirements: 25% within GTA
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, process-oriented
- Strong analytical skills, research, problem solving and decision making
- Proficiency with various computer applications is a definite asset
- Good time management, self-directed, uses time wisely, can attend to a broad range of activities
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Innocon approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
