Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. Candidate must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday mid or evening shifts. Sunday Monday are our days off. The ideal candidate will have a passion for global food and a strong understanding of meal preparation, food safety practices and how to build flavour in a dish. We are looking for a team member who has a good sense of humour, a positive attitude and work ethic, and prides themselves on creating delicious, fresh dishes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Collaborate and communicate with other team members to ensure timely service.
- Monitor inventory and par levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cook or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Must be able to work Tuesday-Saturday. Shifts are mids and evenings/close. We are closed Sunday & Monday.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
