We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Facilities & Event Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in creating exceptional event spaces, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Facilities & Event Technician
Position Summary
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities & Event Technician is responsible for setting up and resetting meeting rooms, banquet spaces, dining areas, and outdoor event venues according to Club standards and event requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down meeting rooms, banquet spaces, dining rooms, and event areas
- Arrange tables, chairs, staging, podiums, and event equipment
- Set up basic audio-visual equipment including screens, projectors, and microphones
- Ensure rooms are clean, organized, and event-ready
- Complete room transitions efficiently between functions
- Assist with outdoor event setups as required
- Maintain storage areas and event equipment
- Report maintenance concerns and support the Facilities team with general operational tasks
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Previous hospitality, event setup, facilities, or maintenance experience is an asset
- Experience with audio-visual equipment is an asset
- Training provided for the right candidate
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to move tables, chairs, staging, and equipment
- Comfortable climbing stairs and working on ladders
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
