The Opportunity:
As a Technology and Innovation Engineering student, you will have the unique opportunity to be central to one of the world’s largest Oil and Gas operator and gain valuable hands on engineering experience. This is a chance to work in a group that touches all aspects of our operation including production, optimization, recovery, and the environment. You will gain baseline engineering and business experience and exposure to new Technologies, Innovation, and Industry Consortia, working in a multidisciplinary environment. You will be exposed to all aspects of technology development and spurring innovation in a large organization. Key Accountabilities:
- Ensuring updates to Technology and Innovation technology and project databases are timely and accurate.
- Provide support managing the Technology and Innovation budget
- Support the Technology and Innovation team in data analysis, scouting and evaluating new technologies, as well as spurring collaboration among business units
- Create reports regarding new technologies in various disciplines
- Execute small projects related to Technology and Innovation, including digital technology projects
- Support evaluation of Industry Consortia and other technology development partnerships
- Support the creation of new academic research projects, and assessing the value of completed research to Canadian Natural
What You Bring to The Role:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's of Engineering degree program in in Chemical or Mechanical engineering preferred, all other engineering disciplines will be considered.
- Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products is considered an asset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
- Required to be physically and mentally fit for work.
- Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract.
- A pre-employment drug and alcohol test must be completed.
