Maxim is currently seeking an LEAD HAND TRUCK MECHANIC for our Calgary location. The successful candidate will diagnose and complete repairs and/or services on heavy-duty trucks to ensure customer satisfaction and profits for Maxim, while working as a member of our team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Performs technician duties including diagnostics, repairs, paperwork, and keeping the shop in order
- Assigns jobs to technicians and monitors quality of service in the shop. Conducts regular shop checks to inspect work-in-progress and work completed. Ensures all inspections are complete
- Supervises staff following Maxim’s leadership principles
- Reviews work orders with technicians to ensure legible and complete documentation
Ideal Qualifications:
- 4th year apprentice to Journeyman certification
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic experience using Cummins Insite, Navistar, ABS control systems
- Able to sign Alberta safety’s/CVIP
- Must possess organizational and time management skills
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 with clean abstract is an asset
- Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
- Ability to work within a team
